Las Vegas, Nevada or as some call it, Sin City. Vegas is a giant playground for adults. I honestly felt like I was in a whole different world. Everywhere you look there is entertainment. There’s definitely no such thing as being bored in Vegas. Below you’ll discover places to stay, things to do/see, and restaurants to try!
Things to See/Do
Old Vegas: Just a short trip from the strip, go visit the place where it all began! This is the oldest part of the City of Las Vegas and the location of the original gambling district. It is now the city’s business district along with the place of well-known resorts and gaming areas. Head to Fremont Street for some delicious food, street entertainment, casinos, shops, and more!
Fountains of Bellagio: Be sure to visit the fountains of the Bellagio! This beautiful fountain display goes along with music as the water dances across the pond. It is a gorgeous sight especially at night. The fountain shows aren’t very long and are frequent so it is hard to miss while walking the Las Vegas strip.
Pool Party: You can’t go to Vegas and not do a pool party. I have one word for them: wild. Be ready for dancing, upbeat music, drinking, and fun! It is a great time, especially when the temperature is over 100 degrees in Vegas! It is not hard to find a pool party either as most of the hotels on the Strip host pool parties. Just be warned it is not expensive to enter a pool party, but the drinks and food definitely add up once you are in the party!
Casinos: Go explore all the different hotels on the strip. Each one has a different casino with a different atmosphere! Be sure to try your hand at some gambling, who knows, maybe you’ll be the next big winner! I was not one of those people unfortunately.
Places to Stay
The amazing thing about the hotels in Las Vegas is they are huge and literally have everything you would need! You would never have to leave your hotel if you didn’t want too! They have shops, gambling, restaurants, coffee shops, a pool, and more! Below are some of my favorites:
Bellagio
If you are looking for luxury, then I suggest booking your stay at the Bellagio. This hotel is filled with high-end shops and restaurants where you can satisfy your tastebuds and all your shopping needs. The atrium is a sight you can’t miss as they feature different seasonal scenes filled with beautiful plants, trees, and flowers.
Flamingo: the Flamingo is a great place to stay as it is centrally located on the strip. Along with a lot of gaming and entertainment options, this hotel is the only hotel in town with Chilean flamingos and Koi fish in its gardens!
Caesars Palace: Ever see the movie The Hangover? If the answer is yes, then you will recognize Caesars Palace from the movie. This hotel is ginormous!
Cosmopolitan: Even if you aren’t staying at the Cosmopolitan, it is definitely a hotel you must visit as it has a magnificent chandelier surrounding the bar which makes for an amazing cocktail experience. The detail is exquisite!
Venetian: Never been to Venice, Italy? Well don’t you worry the Venetian makes you feel as if you are actually there. Stroll through the canals of Venice, walk over the Rialto Bridge, and even take a gondola ride!
Paris Las Vegas: Oh you have never been do France either? Well you can see the Eiffel Tower in Vegas at the Paris Las Vegas and eat some French cuisine if you wish.
New York- New York:
I personally have never been to New York City so it was fun pretending like I have! With views of the “skyline”, visiting a mini version of times square, and seeing the Statue of Liberty, visiting the hotel New York-New York is a must when in Vegas.
Places to Eat
In-N-Out Burger: I had to see what all the hype was about with this place. And I will say the burgers were delicious! I would love to know that sauce recipe, in my opinion, that’s what makes the burger! Be sure to go to In-N-Out Burger right when it opens or not during typical meal times because the line does get long!
Jaburritos: If you are looking for quick, but delicious food go visit Jaburritos! It’s home of Las Vegas’ first sushi burrito restaurant.
Grotto: Located in the Golden Nugget Casino in the Old Vegas area, the Grotto is a great place if you are looking for some delicious Italian food! Plus the bread there will make you drool it’s so good. When you go, ask for a view of the famous Las Vegas shark tank pool.
The Henry: located in the Cosmopolitan, The Henry is a great place to grab brunch! They have good food, friendly staff, and quick service! It’s perfect for a quick bite before continuing your tour of Vegas. The best part is if you have to wait for a table, you have a whole casino to entertain you! Plus, The Henry is open 24/7 so you can eat whenever you get a craving for some food.
Le Cafe Ile St. Louis: Located in the Paris Las Vegas, this restaurant was built to look like a Parisian street cafe and it obviously serves French cuisine. Plus, the bar is open for 24-hours!
There are so many places to stay, eat, gamble, and go for entertainment that this blog post would never end if I tried to name them all~ This is just the tip of the iceberg of things to do and see in Las Vegas. If you are having a hard time packing, check out my blog on travel essentials!
