Seville, Spain is known for its flamenco dancing, delicious food, and beautiful landmarks. If you haven’t added it to your list of places to visit, you should do that now! I feel like it is an underrated city that everyone should explore. Here are five things you should not miss when in Seville!

Number 1: Real Alcázar

Real Alcázar is a must see in Seville. Seeing the palace and the gardens is a once in a lifetime experience. The palace is full of detailed tiling and patterns. The gardens are lush green with flowers and fountains. My pictures don’t even do it justice. It’s no wonder the show Game of Thrones chose this place as a filming location for the city of Dorne. Be sure to book tickets in advance! The line was around the building it was so long.

Number 2: Plaza de España

This plaza is breathtaking! The Plaza de España is huge and even has a moat. You can rent a row boat and row your way around the plaza. This is also a filming location from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones for all the fans out there.

Number 3: Parque de María Luisa

Located right near the Plaza de España, these gardens are huge and gorgeous! This park is perfect for a romantic picnic, seeking shade, taking a stroll, or to relax.

Number 4: Seville Cathedral

The Seville Cathedral is massive! The outside is very detailed and the architecture is beautiful. Did you know Christopher Columbus is buried here? You can go pay him a visit when going to the cathedral. Be sure to buy tickets in advance if you plan on going inside because this attraction also had a huge line.

Number 5: Giralda

The Giralda is a well-known bell tower in Seville. It is the bell tower of the cathedral and was the tallest building in Seville for 800 years! You can climb to the top of it to get an amazing view over the city.

After exploring Seville stop and eat tapas! There are tapas restaurants all over Seville! I love tapas as they are a bunch of small plates of different types of food. I always have a hard time choosing food at restaurants so tapas are perfect because I can try a little bit of everything!
